Building for the coldest regions

In the prairie and northern regions where winter routinely drops far below zero, efficiency stops being a nicety and becomes the whole point. Extreme-cold profiles answer with high-performance envelopes — more insulation, meticulous vapour sealing and deliberately minimal glazing — so the room reaches temperature from a deep freeze without an oversized heater or an hour of waiting.

These saunas also pay close attention to the entry and the wind. A sheltered, draught-reducing entry sequence stops precious heat escaping every time the door opens, and the stove-and-vent balance is tuned to keep working even in exposed conditions. The result is a compact, tight, efficient room built to perform where a lightly insulated barrel would struggle.
