Capacity is really about bench length and layout, not just floor area. Choose how many the sauna should seat, then compare profiles at that size. See the capacity guide for how these figures are derived.

Choosing the right size sauna
Capacity is the first question most buyers ask and the one most often misjudged. It is not simply floor area divided by a person: what really decides how many a sauna holds is the length of usable bench — especially the hotter upper tier, where most people want to sit — and whether bathers sit or lie down. A room listed for four seated bathers comfortably suits two who prefer to recline. The capacity guide and the bench-layout guide explain how this works.
Size also drives the technical decisions. A larger room has more air to heat, so capacity and heater class rise together, and bigger saunas are the ones where a dedicated changing room, shower and deck become practical. Pick the size for the people who will realistically use it together — a two-person room for a couple, the versatile three-to-four for a household, or a five-to-six for family and group use.
